Join the NMHU Music Department in an evening of dining and great music at the Historic Plaza Hotel Ballroom in Las Vegas, New Mexico. The evening will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Cocktail Hour (cash bar) followed by dinner at 6:00 pm. During dinner, guests will be able to enjoy guitar musicperformed by the acclaimed Roberto Capocchi. Dinner will include salad, rosemary roasted chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus and corn, bread and butter and strawberry mousse. Ice tea and coffee will be served as part of the meal.
The main event of the evening will be “Bastien and Bastienne” a one-act comedic opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and directed by Robert Woods. Starring in the opera are Karliz de Marco as Bastienne, Andre Garcia-Nuthmann as Bastien and Devin Barad as Mr. Colas. Linda King will accompany the opera on the piano.
Special VIP tables will be sold at $500 a table (each table seats 8). VIPs will have front row seats and get a special mention in the program.

Dwan Light Sanctuary is a stunning building designed by Virginia Dwan, Charles Ross and Laban Wingert. Its orientation and the alignment of the prisms on the ceiling and walls create interacting spectrums all over the interior. Arrive early - before sundown - and check it out. Born and trained in Brazil, Roberto attended grad school at the University of Arizona before moving to Santa Fe about ten years ago.
